Since moving to Humble Independent School district my freshman year I have noticed a lot of things. The good things outweigh the worst things, but not by a lot. I specifically go to Kingwood High School, one of the worst thing on campus is how our safety is handle in the past year. We have had many incidents where weapons were brought to school, we have only gone into lockdown during 1 of those incidents. The first time a gun was brought to school parents weren't notified until 23 minutes after school had ended via a email from the principal, to say everyone was shocked would be a understatement. Since we never went on lockdown or hold. On the other hand one of the best experiences I have is with my teachers, though some are horrible and would rather sit at their computer watching sports rather than teach, I have learned so many things from some of my teachers both academic and life lessons. Some change I would like to see is more campus unity and less division within in the students.

I have been a student within the Humble ISD since my early school days. Starting from excelling at Woodland Hills Elementary, to thriving and engaging in sports and volunteer work at Kingwood Middle School, and now at Kingwood Park during my high school years. I aim to enhance my academic achievements, athletic pursuits, and leadership skills to become a more well-rounded student for myself, my peers, and my future college endeavors.

I have enjoyed my academic years at Humble ISD. The district focuses on the whole child. I began my academic career at Humble ISD in 2nd grade. I had some great teachers who cared about me. I did not experience bullying situations. The district was highly proactive in ensuring bullying was discussed and not tolerated.
My classes were not very diverse, but I did not feel like an outsider. One situation that sticks out to me regarding diversity is the day all Honor Society students were called to the cafeteria. I proceeded to stand up and move towards the door to the cafeteria, and a visiting teacher commented to me, you do not look like an Honor Society student. Please sit down. That was the first time I felt my ethnicity got in the way of my education.
I would like to see more diversity and acceptance at my high school and the district level. I have enjoyed everything about the district and will miss my high school experience.
