How do I reset my Masterbuilt Gravity series? ›

STEP 1: Power OFF your cooking device. STEP 2: Unplug your cooking device from the wall. STEP 3: Wait 5 minutes, plug it back in. STEP 4: Your controller is reset - check to see if problem persists.

Check the power cord for any damage or loose connections. If it is damaged, you may need to replace it. Additionally, ensure that the smoker's power switch is in the "on" position. If the smoker still won't turn on, it's possible that there is an issue with the control panel or the heating element.

With the Power off, Hold the Temperature button and press Power. When unit starts up, turn the knob/dial from C° to F° or from F° to C°, press temperature button to confirm. Once set, turn power off and then back on. Your temperature scale should now be set.

The control panel allows you to adjust the cooking temperature anywhere from 150° to 700°F with the twist of the knob. Masterbuilt claims it will reach 225°F in 7 minutes and 700°F in 13 minutes once the doors are closed and the fan turns on.

Pellet Smoker is showing ERR2: Meat Probe Error. Meat probe 2 is not installed, or the meat probe is defective.

It's possible that the thermostat is faulty and not sending power to the heating element. You can test the thermostat with a multimeter to see if it's working properly. Inspect the power cord and outlet:Make sure the power cord is not damaged and is securely plugged into a working outlet.

Unplug and reconnect the heating element by removing the cover plate located on the back of the smoker and try again. If that doesn't solve this issue the heating element will need to be replaced. Refer your manual on how to locate and replace the heating element.

To gauge how long wood chips last in your typical electric smoker, know first that most units use between 2–5 ounces of wood product to start. You may have to replenish the wood 1–2 more times depending on what your smoking. Larger cuts of meat, plan on enough wood to fill the wood tray three times.

Can you use wood chunks in a Masterbuilt gravity smoker? ›

The Masterbuilt instructions will recommend you place wood chunks/chips in the ash bucket, so the falling coals can ignite them and add smoke. But we much prefer to place these through the charcoal in the hopper/shoot.

There is potential the fan has malfunctioned. If the grill is experiencing a flare up, turn OFF the unit, shut the lid and allow the flare up to extinguish itself. Allow the grill to cool down before restarting.
